Nine months after this incident, today, the special court announced death penalty for all 4 accused. Well, this may be a good move from Indian govt. but the only question which is arising in my mind now is, "Will it bring her back??". We know, we can't.! "Her" here refers not only to Nirbhaya, but all those several unfortunate girls who has been victim of this kind of brutality...!! Punishing all these demons will not set everything straight, will not bring back what we have lost, but will it at least stop this things from happening in the future? Will women in our country be safe after this? We don't have answer for this..
These convicts who are now sentenced to death will never feel the pain Nirbhaya felt for 14 long days, physically and mentally..! Hanging them would be a sweetest way of killing them...!! Personally I feel that they should be punished more severely.. U might ask, what is more severe than killing? Yea, U are right, killing them will be the final and the highest punishment they could be given. They deserve it too..! but there are several ways in which it can be done.. I am not being bloodthirsty, but they should be killed in such a manner that it sets an example for what happens when someone rapes a girls in India..!
Even then we cant bring what we have lost but at least we can ensure we won't lose anything in the future...
Making sense of what India desires at this precise moment. I did & still do agree with your view personally but in broader sense, you too are aware how bad all it could really be! I personally would had went for chemical castration but they call it inhuman... I ask whether what they done was humane? Well, I agree, we are no beast as them!
ReplyDeleteBut then some psycopaths may take chance with rape as highest punishment in this nation to go away with a sweet girl & rape her... After all, all they get is sweet, no-great brutal fancy rope around their neck few years LATER!!
