The whole thing started a few weeks ago when we were
informed that ORACLE systems will be there in our campus for recruiting. As everyone know ORACLE is a pretty
interesting place to work and the interview process is not going to be easy, I
was up for a challenge and said I should go ahead. I prepared setting myself a
target, because ORACLE was not just any company but was a dream for me.
We had
our online aptitude test on 6th AUG and the interview process was on
11th Aug, more than 200 people wrote online test on 6th
and we were informed that the results will be after 2-3 days. After writing the
aptitude test I was feeling bit confident to get shortlisted as my aptitude
went well and still we had to eagerly wait for the shortlist. On 9th
when the result came I was really happy to see my name in the list. Only 20
were shortlisted from all the 200+ students who had attended the process. I
knew it was just the beginning and I have a big hurdle to cross ahead of me to
make my dream come true.
And
then came the big day, 11th AUG, it started with company PPT and then
the interviews started after that. Waiting for my turn to give interview, I
prepared myself to face the interview
confidently. But the story was all different when my turn came, I was bit
nervous, maybe because it was a big day in my life. But when I started with my
introduction I was feeling comfortable, the recruiting team was so cool that
they made me comfortable, all of them were so friendly that I had no more
nervousness talking to them. I did well in first round, after the first round I
had 3 more rounds of interview back to back. From one round to another I was
doing well and was keeping myself cool. After 4 technical rounds I was called
for HR and their were casual questions and it too went well.
And
then it was results, we were waiting outside and it was the toughest time in the
whole interview process. Minutes were starting to seem like seconds and it was
same with everyone who was waiting along with me. Finally they called us inside
to give our results. My name was second in the list out of only two who got
selected. I just don’t know what all happened in that room that day after
announcements, I was enjoying the moment, I was in my own world, I was on
cloud9 . The feeling that I will be an ORACLEite from that moment was awesome. Looking forward have some great time and experience
at ORACLE.
